Summary: The monotypic family Viburnaceae comprises 200-225 species of deciduous and evergreen shrubs or small trees, distributed mainly in the temperate and subtropical zones of the Northern Hemisphere. Some species are occasionally found in the Southern Hemisphere. These forest plants form the undergrowth and shrub thickets of deciduous and mixed forests of the plains and middle mountainous belt. In the monographic study, the prospects of using the assortment of Viburnum opulus were proved. Recommendations for their cultivation have been developed, design solutions have been developed. Kalina takes pride of place in green building. They have high decorative properties both during flowering and fruit ripening. Especially pleasing to the eye is the appearance of the red fruits of the viburnum after the leaves fall.
