Summary: In today`s market conditions, one of the most important problems of the development of agriculture in Ukraine is the provision of the food market with ecologically clean food products: milk, meat and their processing products. The level of development of the livestock sector directly depends on providing it with a sufficient amount of high-quality fodder, the basis of which is perennial leguminous grasses. Improvement of technological methods of growing perennial leguminous grasses, in particular alfalfa, on the basis of a science-intensive biologicalized model of agriculture and effective use of agrolandscape with an optimal structure of sown areas, will ensure the sustainable production of high-protein fodder and reduce their cost, which will positively affect the increase in the production of livestock products.
